Shobita Mampilly teaches high school science in New York City's public school system. She writes what she sees, practices yoga daily, and enjoys hot coconut chutney to break temperate gloom. A recent graduate from the New School University's Creative Writing Program, she continues to work on her collection of prose and jazz poetry, participating in spoken word venues throughout the city.
