Don Chareunsy is a copy editor at the Los Angeles Times. He came to the Times after two years at a Los Angeles-based entertainment Web site, Hollywood.com, where he was the news editor. He has also worked at The Hollywood Reporter, The Orange County Register in Southern California and the Press-Telegram in Long Beach, California. A journalism and political science graduate of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, Chareunsy serves on the board of the Asian American Journalists Association's Los Angeles chapter. He is also active with the American Copy Editors Society, the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, and various gay Asian organizations in the Los Angeles area.
