Born and raised in San Jose, California, Kelly Yamanouchi graduated
with a degree in English from Harvard University, where she wrote
and edited for The Harvard Crimson. Yamanouchi has written
for the Denver Post, the San Francisco Chronicle,
and a number of small community papers in the San Jose area. She
is currently a reporter in the San Francisco bureau of the Associated
Press.
