Born and raised in the land of
Jara Cimrman, the Czech Republic,
Honza Vihan hitchhiked and pilgrimaged through Spain before traversing
the Atlantic to study Chinese in Boston. He roomed with
a famous journalist, rowed on a frozen river, and wrote a thesis
about the first Chinese historian. He also lived in Nanjing, China,
and rediscovered life in the jungles of Honduras. After graduation
he headed for a year to the Himalayas, from which he recently emerged
to teach Chinese history and Indian thought in Prague. Honza has
co-authored Let's Go: Central America and Let's Go: India
guides. He likes running and riding trains.
