Born and raised in the land of Jara Cimrman, the Czech Republic, Honza Vihan hitchhiked and pilgrimaged through Spain before traversing the Atlantic to study Chinese in Boston. He roomed with a famous journalist, rowed on a frozen river, and wrote a thesis about the first Chinese historian. He also lived in Nanjing, China, and rediscovered life in the jungles of Honduras. After graduation he headed for a year to the Himalayas, from which he recently emerged to teach Chinese history and Indian thought in Prague. Honza has co-authored Let's Go: Central America and Let's Go: India guides. He likes running and riding trains.
