We at INTHEFRAY rely solely on committed volunteers to run this magazine. On the business side, volunteers help with nonprofit administration, grant writing, donations management, publicity, and advertising. On the editorial side, volunteers help with editing, art direction, coding, and design, and also serve as bloggers and columnists.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a young and passionate staff on issues that are easy to care about. You will also learn useful skills and gain marketable experience under the supervision of managers who emphasize mentoring and encourage creativity and initiative.

Please note that all positions are volunteer, with modest stipends for key staff able to commit to at least six months on our team.

The time commitment ranges from a few minutes every month to several hours every week (please read the job descriptions below). We prefer candidates with experience, but enthusiasm, reliability, a willingness to learn quickly, and a sense of humor are the most important qualifications. If you'd like to receive announcements about open positions or calls for submission, please subscribe to our low-volume contributors listserv.

MY EYES ARE NOW OPENED TO POVERTY
written by Chideraa Opara, June 19, 2008
I want to join INTHEFRAY to reduce poverty in the world. Since I started running my M.Sc. Programme in Development Studies of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, I have seriously been thinking how to fight poverty as I have no money to fight it financially head-on. I believe joining your organization would stop me feeling guilty seeing but not being able to fight poverty in Nigeria, my country.
This programme has really brought some salient global problems like poverty, global warming/green-house affect, HIV/AIDS, gender equality e.t.c. to my knowledge. Before now, they have never occurred to me as serious problems.
Thank you so much but I sincerely hope to hear from your organization.
