We at InTheFray rely solely on committed volunteers to run this magazine. On the business side, volunteers help with nonprofit administration, grant writing, donations management, publicity, and advertising. On the editorial side, volunteers help with editing, art direction, coding, and design, and also serve as bloggers and columnists.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a young and passionate staff on issues that are easy to care about. You will also learn useful skills and gain marketable experience under the supervision of managers who emphasize mentoring and encourage creativity and initiative.

Please note that all positions are volunteer, with modest stipends for key staff able to commit to at least six months on our team.

The time commitment ranges from a few minutes every month to several hours every week (please read the job descriptions below). We prefer candidates with experience, but enthusiasm, reliability, a willingness to learn quickly, and a sense of humor are the most important qualifications.
