How to submit a quotation for in other words.
By ITF Webmaster
Monday, 28 November 2005

On the INTHEFRAY splash page we post quotations that say something witty or meaningful about issues of identity and community. If you wish to submit a quotation for our consideration, please use the comments form at the bottom of this page. In your comment, please include the text of the quotation, the name of the person quoted, and a few words about who that person is (e.g. American writer, Chinese poet, South African painter). It will be helpful if you also include a link to that quotation elsewhere on the Web, so that we can verify its veracity.

We prefer quotations from individuals of contemporary or historical importance, though all quotations will be considered. We try to keep the quotations as short as possible, usually under 50 words.

If you have any questions, please email us.

If you wish to submit an article to the magazine, please do not use the form below. Instead, please read our submissions guidelines.

I have been thinking about the notion of perfect love as being without fear, and what that means for us in a world that's becoming increasingly xenophobic, tortured by fundamentalism and nationalism. —bell hooks, black feminist social critic
