Just a reminder that submissions for the Tikkun youth writing contest are due June 15, 2009.

Tikkun (a bi-monthly critique of politics, spirituality, and culture) is holding the youth writing contest in order to generate submissions for their September/October issue, which will focus on youth activism and spirituality.

Up to eight fellows from the United States will be selected and provided support to develop projects that will lead to articles in their home newspapers or in other U.S.-based publications. The articles will shed light on global issues that have a direct impact on their local communities. The World Affairs Journalism Fellowships are competitive. The fifth annual contest is seeking entries from the calendar year 2008 for stories on the military, veterans' affairs, national defense, and homeland security in print, photography, broadcasting and online media.
