<title>Fatih, Politics and Independents</title>
<link>http://inthefray.org/content/view/2703/232/#comment-2966</link>
<description>In my research for We the Purple: Faith, Politics and the Independent Voter, I interviewed a number of independents who either walked away from both parties or never associated with them to begin with precisely because of both parties' attempts to court and ultimately manipulate the religious vote. That's one of the many reasons why I'm an independent as well. My faith informs my political perspective, but I will not abide any party or candidate who tries to buy my vote with their religious rhetoric. Maybe with cold, hard cash, but not with God-talk ;). - Marcia Ford</description>
