| Nicole Pezold lives in Brooklyn, New York, and enjoys writing (and reading) about books, museums, and faraway places. Although she has never written on food, a recent informal poll of friends revealed she has an obsession with cooking and consuming rich, sometimes exotic, cuisine. "No matter where you are, so long as there is good food, drink and company, Nicole will meet you there," wrote one friend. Another commented that "Nicole has a well-honed interest in French and francophone cultures, resulting in her love of stinky cheese and her two-year stint as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa," where she enthusiastically ate peanut sauce and rice with her hands. Nicole's gastronomic affections may be rooted in her personal history; she is originally from New Orleans. And it is no accident that she now lives in another good eating town. Finally, one friend described the writer as "unflappably delicious."
