| After returning from a year in Southeast Asia where she was working with Outer Voices, a U.S.-based radio documentary group, Catherine Hoang moved to New York to further her experience in public radio as an intern with the show This American Life. Prior to entering the radio world in 2005, she worked as a chemical engineer, having graduated with a degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Besides radio, Hoang also plans to continue working for non-profit agencies and is particularly interested in issues relating to immigrants, refugees, and indigenous peoples. In her free time, she likes rereading her favorite books over and over until the covers fall off and trying out new recipes for delicious vegan baked goodies. |
