| Emily Gorovsky is a native of Chicago, where she received her bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. She now lives in Gainesville, Florida, where she is a book editor for Maupin House, a family-owned publisher of language arts and writing resources for K-12 teachers. She also freelances for various publications, focusing mainly on children with special needs. In her free time, Emily likes to travel to Chicago or anywhere else she can visit family and friends.
