Aimee Walker
Board of Directors; Donor
Originally from Pennsylvania, Aimee Walker somehow manages to live in tree-deprived New York City. For the past four years, she has led a double life doing fundraising for arts and community-based nonprofits as well as writing poetry. The two roles happily meet in her current job as the Development Associate at Poets House, a poetry library in SoHo. Recently, she completed her MFA in poetry at Columbia University. She was selected as runner-up for the 2004 Grolier Poetry Prize and won the 2003 "In Our Own Write," a creative writing competition at the New York City Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center. She also won the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force scholarship to attend the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Yeah, she wins the gay stuff.

Hell house Re: Hell house Thanks for making note of this interesting phenomenon. Just to clarify, the NYC version of Hell House that opened this week at St. Ann's Warehouse is a spoof. It is not meant to actually convert anyone!
