Mimi Hanaoka
Mimi Hanaoka received her master's degree from Columbia University, where she studied comparative religions and specialized in Islamic studies. Though she flirted with many academic departments during college, she ended up graduating with a degree in philosophy and religion. Mimi is currently pursuing a PhD in Islam and Islamic studies at Columbia. Born into Japanese and Welsh heritage and raised in Tokyo, Hanaoka is always looking for new places to call home.
