| I’m a freelance writer based in Manhattan. My work has appeared in The New York Observer, Parents, Berkshire Living, Prevention, The Boston Globe, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, among other publications. I grew up in Western Massachusetts and attended Columbia Journalism
School and Dartmouth College, where I served as executive editor of the
independent daily student newspaper. From 2005 to 2007, I worked as a
reporter at The Monitor, a daily newspaper in McAllen, Texas,
on the Mexico border. There, I covered city government, politics,
schools, crime and general assignments.
