| Emily True is currently studying documentary photography at the Salt Institute in her hometown of Portland, Maine. After earning her B.A. in cultural anthropology from Georgetown University, Emily spent 18 months working for a grass-roots community paper and journalist-training program in rural South Africa. There, she taught fieldwork skills to new reporters and worked as editor and photographer for The Amazwi Villager. In addition to traveling and photography, Emily loves gourmet cooking, doing just about anything outdoors, and her dog, Otzi. |
