| A first generation Chinese born and raised in Panama, Suan Pineda has left the mellow Central American Pacific coast for a series of landlocked places: Missouri, Madrid, San Antonio, Salt Lake City (her current stop while working for The Salt Lake Tribune). Her work has appeared in Spanish-language publications, The World and I magazine; she’s currently working on an essay for an anthology. An amateur cook, a tango enthusiast, Pineda seeks to further her love of words with a comparative literature master’s degree.
