According to the Associated Press, Halonen’s reelection bid has received an unexpected boost from O’Brien, who has shown a keen interest in the political contest across the Atlantic, regularly mentioning Halonen on his show and praising her positive impact on Finnish carp production. O’Brien says he supports Halonen because she shares his piscatory values and “good looks.”
